January 2013 Photos

Even though I am relieved winter is over, it's worth remembering the times that passed.  January was a month of physical healing for me and emotional grief and fighting for faith.  Even though the world seemed dark and confusing, there were a lot of good things.  So here are some photos from that month.

Visiting Aunt Beth's new apartment.  I can't believe how much she's improved its cuteness since this picture!

Surviving the stomach flu.  Gwen and I were both down for a solid week.

Nothing like a purring kitty to help

Downton Season 3! Shout Out!

Lunch with Jill

This tree looks dead, but it's not.  There's something to that.

She takes this technique very seriously, even now

Reading World News

Dabbling with new fashions (please disregard slippers - not a part of the finished look)

Finding the cat, at great lengths

The countdown to vacation paper chain. It helped!

A fun girls night at Pats

Looking for beauty in winter

Gwen's first tattoo.  Worn with immense pride

This was taken by Ryan but symbolizes a lot of how Bert spent the winter :)
Working with wood, making paddles, shelves, a bench etc.

Staying alive and fed

An OPH breakfast before the Sovereignty Seminar at church.
Sovereignty is a very hard and very precious doctrine, and the teaching was excellent.

First Snowman!  Holla!

Lots of cuddles for her baby named "Baby Arleigh"

Fort time with Papou ("paw-pooh" = greek for grandpa)

Bert went winter camping which is his happy place, as you can see

Thankful for the daily mercies that were given in January 2013.
