two tangible examples of God's kindness in the past 24 hours:
1. Yesterday after an emotionally weighty conversation: there was a neighborhood cat waiting outside our back door that proceeded to let me pet it a long time. This was no accident. Straight up sovereign comfort from a God who loves me, even in details.
2. Today I am feeling anxious about the storms etc. And I randomly opened a devotional book to this quote from my FAVORITE HYMN.
Be still, my soul! The waves and wind still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.
