Final Photos: Kitchen and Dining Room

For any faithful readers who are still around - sorry it's been so long between posts.  We've been a bit distracted around here.  Can anyone say nesting mode?  Anyways, thank you for sticking with me!

The pictures start by standing by our back door, then they move towards the front of the house.

Someday we hope to do a bench seat in the corner under the windows for more seating at the kitchen table.

Those holes in the upper wall are for someday-speakers.

This new workspace is very sweet.

Looking back at the kitchen, on the threshold to dining room:

The Dining Room!
No more wood paneling on the walls. :)

We are very happy with how the ceiling tile and crown molding turned out.
(Thanks for the inspiration Potbelly!)

We enjoy the arches.

We know that the means to do this project and the fact that it actually got "done" is all grace.  Not because we are deserving, but because God is the best at giving good gifts to his children. It has been a memorable winter of hard work, learning deeper diligence, and enjoying the work towards this goal.  God is good.  All is grace.  We know that all the little goodnesses in this world only point to a big goodness in Him.

Now, just for fun...  here's how it looked when we moved in almost 4 years ago:
(I also love this photo because it was before any of these ladies were moms, which feels SO long ago!)

So for those of you house-hunting out there... it's all about potential - right? :)

  2. it all looks really, really nice! I covet your big kitchen :). I love those before pictures. I can hardly remember that day and what your house looked like. Even the baby carrier against the wall is a great, new change!
